| SKILLS |
|
I am a fully credentialed elementary school
teacher. For the past 4.5 years I have taught kindergarten.
I qualify for the "highly qualified teacher" through the
No Child Left Behind Act, because I have a CLAD
Multi-Subject Credential. In order to obtain my credential I
had to pass the CBEST,
RICA and the
MSAT.
(The MSAT is the pre-2003 test that was used to
demonstrate subject-matter competency). In the past
several years I have taught kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 4th
grade. Prior to that I was a substitute-teacher for 3 years in
two local school districts. I am also highly skilled
with computers, both PC and Mac. I have knowledge of many types
of computer programs and the ability to teach and train people
of all ages. I am also a web page designer, graphic artist, and
an artist.

| PERSONAL INFO |
| I am the mother of an almost 20 year old. I once used to
spend a lot of time going to
Ice Hockey
practice and games, (my son's). But now I spend a lot of time
at home being crafty/arty/creative or working in schools.
When I am not working at a school or tutoring, I spend
time being creative by gardening, drawing, knitting, sculpting
etc., and reading a lot of books. I have just completed my 9th
quilt
and I have
knitted a
few scarves and a
blanket (what else are you going to do for hours at an ice
rink?). I have learned how to ice skate and hope to
someday play women's ice hockey
for fun. My other hobbies are working on my web page, and
drawing and painting in general. For my 30th birthday I
finally bought myself a surf board and I go to the
local beaches and attempt to surf. I also once owned a
sailboat
which I never really learned to use.
